ABOUT US
The European School of Laparoscopic Surgery (ESLS) was founded in 1992 and is today a global reference for teaching laparoscopic techniques. The ESLS team is solicited worldwide for its expertise and promotes an accessible cutting-edge medicine across the world.
The European School of Laparoscopic Surgery at the Saint-Pierre University Hospital is one of the oldest and the most important schools of laparoscopic surgery in Europe. Since its founding, over 5000 fellows and surgeons have followed the courses given by some of the world's leading experts.
For years, these courses have been endorsed by the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and by the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES).
The ESLS provides distance education, meaning that all the courses are transmitted in university centers around the world including Third World countries. The main goal of this year's workshops is to offer laparoscopic surgeons all the details (tricks and pitfalls) they need to perform advanced laparoscopic procedures.
